Welcome to the SSD Public School mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how SSD Public School ("School", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, protects, and handles information when you ("User", "Student", "Parent", "Teacher", or "Staff") use our mobile application on the Google Play Store.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the necessary information required for school administration, academic tracking, communication, and attendance management:
- Student Data: Student Name, Admission / Account Number, Class, Section, Roll Number, Date of Birth, Gender, Profile Photo, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Primary Contact Number, and Address.
- Staff / Teacher Data: Staff Name, Username / Employee ID, Assigned Class, Available Classes, Joined Date, Contact Number, Profile Photo, Father's Name, and Mother's Name.
- Academic Data: Daily attendance status (Present, Absent, Leave, Half Day, In-Time, Out-Time), exam marks, scorecard ledger, and school notice board announcements.
2. Device Permissions & Usage
Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA):
Used exclusively for scanning QR codes during Staff Self-Attendance Marking and School Attendance Kiosk display. The camera is active only while scanning a QR code in real-time. No photos or video recordings are saved or shared.
- Internet Access (android.permission.INTERNET): Used to communicate securely with official school API servers (
https://www.ssdschool.in/api/) over HTTPS.
- Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to deliver important school announcements, attendance alerts, and conduct updates.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for official school administrative and educational purposes, including:
- Authenticating student, parent, and staff logins.
- Managing daily student attendance and staff self-attendance records.
- Displaying exam marks, report cards, and conduct scorecards.
- Publishing school announcements, circulars, and emergency notices.
4. Data Security & Sharing
All data transmission between the mobile application and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS 1.2/1.3). Sensitive session tokens are stored securely using encrypted device storage. We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third-party advertisers or marketing companies.
5. Student & Children's Data Privacy
Our application is designed for school educational use. Student records are managed directly under the supervision of SSD Public School administration. Parents have full access to view their child’s profile, attendance, and academic reports.
